ACT Chief Minister’s Export Awards

Canberra Business Council is proud to announce that it has secured the right to manage and present the prestigious ACT Chief Minister’s Export Awards for 2009, with the option of continuing the agreement until 2011. As the ACT’s leading business organisation, the Council has successfully delivered the Awards on behalf of the ACT Government for the last two years, and is keen to continue this relationship into the foreseeable future.

“The ACT has a thriving export-orientated business community and the Chief Minister’s Export Awards are an invaluable way of recognising and showcasing our most successful exporters”, Chris Faulks, CEO of Canberra Business Council said today.

“Through our management of the ACT Exporters’ Network and the International Business Task Force, Canberra Business Council has been providing the leadership and framework required to enhance the performance of the ACT exporting community. The Export Awards complement this process, and I strongly encourage all ACT exporters to consider entering the Awards”, said Ms. Faulks.

Aside from giving their business a health check and enjoying the recognition which comes from being a part of the Awards, category winners of the Chief Minister’s Export Awards will also receive a range of benefits as a national finalist, including significant local and national exposure for their business.

The Awards are sponsored by the Centre for Customs & Excise Studies, IELTS Australia, Austrade and the ACT Exporters’ Network. The Chief Minister will be launching the 2009 ACT Chief Minister’s Export Awards on Tuesday 28 April at the Centre for Customs & Excise Studies (CCES) at the University of Canberra. CCES were the ACT Chief Minister’s Exporter of the Year last year and went on to win in the Education & Training category at the Australian Export Awards held in Melbourne in December 2008.
