The Australia Africa Business Council (AABC) is holding its National dinner in Canberra’s Hyatt Hotel on 24 February 2011.
Guest Speaker, Melissa Parke MP, Federal Member for Freemantle, will be representing the Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Kevin Rudd MP. Ms Parke has a keen interest in international affairs and worked for the United Nations for seven years before becoming a Federal MP. She currently chairs the Parliamentary United Nations and UNICEF associations. She is a strong supporter of Australia’s growing engagement with Africa not least through its increasing aid commitment to that continent.
The dinner ‘s principal sponsor is Rio Tinto Limited , with Paydirt Media (organiser of the annual Africa Downunder conference in Perth) and Crawford School at Australian National University as additional sponsors.
