2011 ACT Chief Minister’s Export Awards Launch

Chief Minister, Jon StanhopeThe ACT Chief Minister, Mr Jon Stanhope launched the 2011 ACT Chief Minister’s Export Awards on Thursday 21 April 2011 at the Canberra Business Event Centre, Regatta Point.

Over 80 people attended the event, including representatives from past ACT Export Award winners such as Aspen Medical, Tower Software, Noetic Group, Centre for Customs and Excise Studies, Recruitment Systems, Yellow Edge, Intelledox and Inland Trading Co (Aust).

 Parliamentary Convenor of the ACT Greens, Meredith Hunter MLA , Jeremy Hanson MLA (representing Leader of the Opposition, Zed Seselja),  Austrade representatives and a number of ACT International Student Ambassadors also attended the launch.

Chief Minister and David WiddowsonAt the launch the Chief Minister also took the opportunity to unveil the ACT Export Hall of Fame plaque, with the Centre for Customs and Excise Studies joining previous Hall of Fame inductees, Tower Software, CEA Technologies, Inland Trading and IELTS.

The 2011 ACT Chief Minister’s Export Awards are managed by Canberra Business Council on the behalf of the ACT Government and sponsored by the Centre for Customs & Excise Studies, Austrade, Export Finance and Insurance Corporation, Canberra Business Council and the ACT Exporters’ Network.
