The ACT Government, in partnership with Austrade, is seeking expressions of interest from Canberra-based businesses to participate in a business mission to China.  This mission will coincide with the Shanghai World Expo and leverage from ACT Government’s involvement as a silver sponsor as part of the Australian Pavilion.

This mission will be broadly themed around the ACT’s business innovation capabilities which is linked closely to Australia’s overall messaging and objective for the Shanghai World Expo.

• Mission dates:  5-9 July 2010
• Expressions of interest due by: 9 April 2010

The ACT Government is financially supporting participants by covering all Austrade fees for service charges that relate to the development and delivery of a tailored business-to-business matching program. It will also cover costs associated with mission functions and networking events.

Smaller companies with a turnover under $5 million may qualify for ACT Government funding support to offset up to 50% of other approved mission specific costs they may incur.  This support will be to a maximum of $5,000.

The number of participating companies on the mission is limited. Companies will be selected based on their export readiness and the suitability of their service or product offering for the relevant markets.
